Sina Arbabzadeh.
Sina is a Santur instrumentalist and one of Dela Ensemble’s members and co-founders in Sydney, Australia. Born in 1981 in Shiraz, Iran, he became interested in music from an early age and began learning Santur at the age of 9 by attending Master Babaei’s Santur lessons in Isfahan where he grew his talent for music until the age of 19.
He studied Radif at the same time with his tutor and accomplished Maestro Abolhasan Saba’s Radif successfully. He moved to Australia in 2011 and along with his professional career as a Civil Engineer and his other passion for photography, he strived to continue his music by collaborating with other musicians locally and internationally. His turning point as a musician was when he performed with Maestro Keivan Saket (One of the greatest Tar instrumentalist and composers in Iran) as part of the Saket Ensemble Concert in Sydney, 2014.
He aims to develop his technics in playing Santur (i.e. his main instrument) and Tanboor (i.e. his secondary instrument), and also learn and practice composing technics.
